Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! We are moving into our Lincoln Avenue building!

We will move in stages, since some can’t move until others have vacated a space.

On Monday, June 3: Kindergarten and 1st and 2nd grades will move from South Campus to the new Lower Elementary building on Lincoln Avenue. We will not move teachers’ desks and some of the cabinets. We will move cubbies, student desks, and teaching materials.

On Tuesday, June 4: 5th grade will move from their present location in North Campus to the room 1st grade will vacate at South Campus (now to be known as the Upper Elementary building). The library will move from North Campus to the room Kindergarten will vacate. The Advanced Technology equipment in the library will be moved out to the hallway for one day.

On Wednesday, June 5: Mrs. Borrell’s classroom will move upstairs to the now-empty library. The Advanced Technology equipment will move to the room 5th grade just vacated.

The teachers are eager to move and will begin moving smaller items, where possible, in the afternoons of the last three days of school. The big items, especially the library shelves and desk, will require several strong helpers.

We will begin at 8:30 a.m. on June 3rd – 5th.

Gr 8 – 12 students can earn FCS service hours for this project.

WHO is needed: Gr 8 – 12 students, parents, friends of FCS

WHEN: June 3rd – 5th, starting at 8:30 a.m. and concluding each day when the move is complete.

WHERE: Meet at the building moving FROM.
