Janel is from Willow Grove, PA outside of Philadelphia and now resides in Saylorsburg. She is a graduate of Carin University with a bachelor’s degree in social work and Bible. Janel is married to Dave and they have three grown children that have all graduated from FCS Daniel (‘13), Jessica (‘16), and David (‘19).

Janel and Dave have been involved in camping ministry since 1993 first at The Camp at Old Mill in Chester County, and then Mt. Gilead, and now at Spruce Lake Retreat and Pinebrook. Janel and Dave attend Cornerstone Community Church in Kresgeville. During her free time Janel enjoys getting together with friends, reading a good mystery or historic novel, volunteering at Spruce Lake Retreat and Pinebrook in the kitchen, snack shop or lifeguarding.

Janel came to FCS in 2002 as a parent, and then volunteer, middle school soccer coach, served on the Board for 6 years, and in 2020 accepted the position of Director of School Marketing and Development. Janel so appreciated the administrators, staff, and teachers that helped to train her children in the way they should go by loving them, praying for them, and encouraging them all through their school years. It is a comfort to know that through both home and school, each one received the necessary training for living a Godly life and being lifelong learners.

It is Janel’s goal to promote Faith Christian School to the local Christian community, to run the school’s fundraising events, and to foster deeper relationships with FCS’s current giving partners and develop new giving partners with those that see Christian education as being essential to our community and society as a whole.
