What are your College or Post High School Plans:
I plan to attend Northeast School of Ministry, in Pittsburgh after high school, in hopes to pursue a career in ministry.
What do you love about Faith Christian School?
I love Faith Christian School’s soccer teams. Coach Jim has made my high school soccer experience such a good one. He brought our team together and I always had the best times with my team and coach. I’ll never forget all the fun memories I have with my soccer team.
What was one of your favorite activities, trips, or events at FCS?
My high school was involved in many trips and activities, but one of my favorite trips was our class field trip to Target to prepare for Banquet with my class. That was such a blast!
Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite.
Mrs. Martin is at the top of my list for favorite teachers. She’s always there to help with wardrobe malfunctions, paint disasters on your favorite coat, and she’s my favorite teacher to surprise visit throughout the day.
In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at Faith Christian School?
Faith Christian has allowed and encouraged many opportunities for students to live out their faith in front of their peers and teachers. One of the opportunities that I believe helped me grow in my faith was being able to run a girl’s Bible Study.
The mission of Faith Christian School is to provide a unique Christ-centered education that instills character based on biblical principles and develops academic excellence for the purpose of preparing young people to serve and impact the world for Jesus Christ. How has Faith Christian School fulfilled its mission in your experiences?
Faith Christian School is full of teachers, coaches, and leaders that all work together to impact the lives of the students in the school. I have been personally impacted by these people. They’ve encouraged me to work hard, shared their advice and wisdom with me, and shown me by example how to walk with Christ. I think watching the leaders, teachers, and coaches around me living a God-centered life has impacted me in ways that a public school never could.
How do you feel that FCS prepared you for graduation, college/career and life?
Faith Christian School prepares students for the future by allowing them to lead and take charge. Being able to lead and follow is a valuable lesson to learn and prepare you for the future.
What opportunities did you experience at FCS that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
I believe the most valuable opportunity that I experienced was to have adults and peers in my life that I can come to when I need wisdom, advice, encouragement, and having people in a school that deeply care for you is hard to find in other places.
What would you say to a prospective student considering joining Faith Christian School?
The friendships and relationships you get from going to Faith Christian School are irreplaceable. The memories that you will have with your friends, classmates, and teachers will be unforgettable.
