Faith Christian School is pleased to offer drama as an elective class and also as an after school, extra-curricular activity. Students can choose to participate in one or both of these options to grow in their confidence and performance abilities. The drama elective is designed to build speaking and theatrical skills students will use throughout the year in chapel and school events, and carry into their future careers and ministries. The after school drama program will produce a full stage production once a year; students will acquire theatrical and technical skills while learning the art of dramatic entertainment. Students are encouraged to participate whether their interests lie in acting, set and costume design, advertising and marketing, lighting and props, or stage management. Drama and theater are great avenues for presenting Christ, so it is our hope students will have opportunity to apply the skills mastered to further the reach of the gospel and to encourage others with their personal testimonies. Should the Lord choose to elevate the status of one of our budding actors, it is our desire they would use their talents in productions which ultimately lead to His receiving all the glory!
