Mrs. Emily Cecchini is from Palmyra, NJ. In 2018, she and her family moved to Stroudsburg, PA. She attended Wesley College in Dover, DE where she earned her BA in Sports Management. She married her high school sweetheart in 2007. They have four children who all attend Faith Christian School. Emily and her family attend Calvary Chapel in Stroudsburg, where she is an active Sunday school teacher. Emily was a stay-at-home mom, subbing part time in the public schools. Emily and her husband noticed the difference between the public and private schools right away, and prayed God would lead them in the direction that was right for their family. They saw a flier for Faith Christian at their church, and thought they would tour. Emily stated, “From our first step in the school we felt at home!” They knew Faith was the school for them. God, nudged Emily to apply for an opening at the school and lead her each step of the way. Emily says, “I am completely in awe that, not only do my children get to spend their day here, I do as well!”
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her family, playing golf with her husband and soaking up every stage of being a Mom! She is an avid runner, and sets a goal for herself to achieve each year. (A runner’s brain is a never ending word problem as you calculate how many miles you need to hit, with a certain pace, daily/weekly/monthly/yearly!)
She was blessed to be able to be home with all of her children until school age and treasured those years. When her oldest couldn’t find a youth group she enjoyed, Emily started one in her house. They are now in their fifth year and have added new members each year. The Bible is their base for each lesson. Her favorite lessons are the ones where they talk out scenarios they faced the previous week, and go to the Bible to teach them how they can handle any situation in a Christian manner. She prays she can help students at Faith Christian recognize that being a Christian doesn’t end when you leave church. We are called to live a Christian life in every part of our day. She believes this is one of the most important lessons that can be taught by example. She prays she is an example to the students by the way she lives her day to day life.
