Our new staff will be joining us in August. We are delighted to welcome:  Mrs. Melissa Funari (Kindergarten teacher), Mr. Andrew DeLorme (HS Bible), Mrs. Kathleen Thomas (HS English), and Miss Deanna Perry (music). In addition, we welcome Mrs. Jessica O’Keefe to her new duties as our third grade teacher.

Mrs. Funari received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Husson University. She has a Provisional Teaching Certificate (State of Maine), PA Emergency Teaching Certificate, and is a licensed Behavioral Health Professional. She comes to FCS with two years of teaching experience, in addition to homeschooling her own children.

Mr. DeLorme comes highly recommended. He is finishing his Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University Online. He just completed a ten month pastoral internship at Calvary Bible Church. He also taught a Christian Apologetics class for a homeschool co-op and a six week N.T. Survey course in an adult Sunday School class.

Mrs. Thomas comes to FCS from the principalship at Bridgeway Academy, an accredited homeschool academy. She has taught middle school grades and lower elementary grades in public school, in addition to teaching Biology, Marine Biology, English, Speech, and Debate at the high school level as a homeschool cooperative instructor. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Geoscience (Elementary Education Certification Program) from The College of New Jersey and her Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.

Miss Perry is the Youth Worship Team Director at the Venue in Pocono Community Church. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in music education from West Chester University. She has her PA Professional Certificate for Music K – 12.

Mrs. O’Keefe served as the teachers’ aide in our elementary grades last year, enabling the success of our team teaching model. She is transitioning to her duties as third grade classroom teacher. She earned her BA in Biblical & Theological Studies from Gordon College. She had a minor in Elementary Education. She has four years of teaching experience.

These teachers have enthusiastically joined our staff for the 2018 – 2019 school year. Please keep them in prayer as they acclimate to their new duties.
