Faith Christian School is seeking a high school English teacher to add to our ministry team. Our teachers must have a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ, proven excellence in integrating faith and learning, experience with high school students, the ability to hold students and themselves to high standards, and be capable of differentiating instruction for a wide range of student abilities. Core classes focus on spelling, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and literature and would include at least two sections of English 9/10 and at least two sections of English 11/12. Bachelor’s degree in education required. ACSI or PA state certification preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate would have earned a B.S/B.A. degree in education with successful student teaching experience and a definite call to teach in a Christian school. ACSI or PA state certification preferred. In addition, the candidate must be a mature born again Christian believer, capable of modeling exemplary Christian character and leadership. Should have excellent oral and written communication skills. Skilled in human relations, leadership, and conflict management. Knowledgeable of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of students. Demonstrated skills in the use of technology to enhance student learning.
The main duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
1. Effectively teach students in 9th – 12th grades in the subjects of English/Language Arts (grammar, literature, and journalism) for the 2025 – 2026 school year in a departmentalized high school program.
2. Develop spiritual maturity of each student through integrating, applying and communicating biblical truth.
